‘Day at Work’ for International Degree Students

The purpose of the ‘Day at Work’ is to introduce international degree students (foreign degree students only) from the University of Jyväskylä and JAMK University of Applied Sciences and companies in Central Finland to each other. In practice, this means that you, as a student, will make a one day visit to one company between the 4th and 7th of April.

By participating, you can showcase your own skills and share the day’s experiences on social media. The day may include dierent activities according to the wishes of the company, for example:

  • Small talk in a foreign language
  • Sharing information about your culture
  • Commenting on brochure materials and web pages

We hope to get enough companies to be able to oer this opportunity to all the registered students, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee a place for everyone. Please note that all the companies may not be situated in the city of Jyväskylä.

Registration: Please go to the link and fill in your profile between 15-29.2.2016. Choose the dates that you would be available to visit the company. After you have registered, the companies will choose students based on their profile. If you’re chosen, the company will contact you directly via e-mail by the end of March.

Albert Solé

Albert Solé has 10-year experience in the field of clustering, both from the consulting and the public sector perspective. We are looking for help from international business students to cooperate with JAMK’s sport marketing and management students and especially with the preparation of their research project considering ice hockey brand image and fan values.

Here’s the deal: Group of JAMK sport marketing students are going to conduct a study during IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships in Stockholm in May. Student group will be simulating and practicing the interview situation before the actual data collection and we would like to invite you IB-students to be our training interviewees for 20-30 minutes on Wednesday Feb 20.

We would like to ask 10-15 non-Finnish students to be available for practice interviews at 10:30am in classroom AP10.  If you are interested and would like to help out the sport marketing students for 20-30 minutes, please contact research assistant Osmo Laitila, osmo.laitila(a)

Forum traditionally youth event will be a key year. However, in 2013, the year – not only for the youth of the Kaliningrad region and the North-West Federal District. The Forum was the status of the district.

  • Formation of the members of the creative, entrepreneurial and managerial thinking.

About the Forum

  • The dates and venue of the Forum: the Baltic Sea – the Kaliningrad region, Zelenograd district, near the village. Filino 07 to August 17, 2013
  • The forum will be attended by up to 2,000 people, aged 18 to 30 years. About half of them – the best youth teams from the Northwestern Federal District, Russia as a whole and from abroad.
  • The registration fee – 2000 rubles.
