I’ve been here for 7 weeks and it’s been raining for 5. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had some hours of sunshine but it has been raining every day in that 5 weeks time.
I’ve noticed I’m very lucky here. If it’s said to be 10% chance of rain, it’s really going to rain. When forecasts say there’s 100% chance of rain it most definitely won’t rain. I’m glad I didn’t come here for the sunshine (but I expected a little more of it) because I would have been very disappointed. I mean, I don’t mind the rain but when it rains here, it really pours. To be honest, pouring is an understatement. I think I should have taken my wellingtons here, at least I was clever enough to bring my umbrella.
Locals say it has been very unusual summer but Sydney is a place where it rains anyway.
So I’m very lucky here, perhaps I should try lottery.
