After a day in Nice, we traveled to Marseille. Once again, by bus. Marseille is a city of 850 000 inhabitants. Marseille locates by the Mediterranean sea. I think that Nice was much more prettier but I really liked Marseille as well. We bought tickets to hop-on-hop-off bus and visited quite a lot tourist attractions.
Streets in Marseille were colorful. The old city center provided lots of colors and narrow streets.
The best moment during the day in Marseille was in the evening when we finally reached the Palace we were looking for. It was already dark, but really warm. The palace was gorgeous building in the end of street. We weren’t able to access the garden anymore, but it was still worth of seeing.
When we got back to the hotel I realized that my shoulders were so sunburned that it was actually really painful. I even used sunscreen! Stupid nordic, pale skin.
Kun päästiin takaisin hotellille, niin tajusin, että oon palanu aika pahati auringossa. Kiitos vaalea pohjoinen ihoni.
Next morning, when we woke up we were ready to go to our last destination, Lyon. The best part in Lyon was the cat cafe we visited. ( Cat cafe = cafe where few cats live and walk around begging for attention from the customers of the cafe)
Seuraavana päivänä olikin aika suunnata Lyoniin. Paras osa Lyonia oli ylihinnoiteltu kissakahvila.
Comparing to other two cities we visited, Lyon was not that fancy. I don’t know if it was the weather or the lack of sleep, but I prefer Nizza more.
Overall experience of France:
+ Weather was great
+Somehow more relaxed than in Germany
+I loved the streets and buildings
-Nobody speaks English ( Okay that is the reason why I am going to learn french)
-People are not that friendly
But the feeling when we got back to Germany, and there was no problems with the language.
