Conference “Applying nursing diagnoses in nursing education and practice: perspectives and possibilities”

The Chair of Nursing at Tallinn Health Care College cordially invites you to participate in the international conference “Applying nursing diagnoses in nursing education and practice: perspectives and possibilities” which will be held on the 8th November 2017.

Modern world, including Estonia faces the situation where financial resources in health care are decreasing, the number of available people in the labor market is shrinking and the population is getting older. These factors present new challenges to the health care workers and nursing as the main professional health care resource is expected to respond to this growing demand in terms of the developmental perspective of society as well as the nursing profession itself.

The curricula of different higher educational institutions usually include the teaching of nursing diagnoses, which are then applied or are attempted to  be applied, into nursing practice. Modern approaches in teaching nurses are used in both, theoretical and practical studies, while the application into nursing practice significantly depends on the working environment.

The aim of the conference is to give an overview of different classifications of nursing diagnoses and find new possible strategies to teach nursing diagnoses in higher educational establishments as well as in its application during nursing practice.

Working languages of the conference are Estonian and English.

Abstracts will be accepted until 11th September 2017.

There is a participation fee of 30€ covering the costs of lunches, coffees. Student participation fee is 5€.
