Summer Internship in the administration of Erasmus+ Programme

Description of the organisation and the position:

The task of the Finnish National Agency for Education is to develop education and training, early childhood education and care and lifelong learning, manage the service and administrative tasks related to these, and anticipate competence and training needs. The Agency promotes the internationalisation of society, the reputation of Finnish education and education cooperation abroad.

The unit of International higher education cooperation at the Finnish National Agency for Education supports the internationalisation of higher education and promotes the international education cooperation of higher education institutions. All Finnish higher education institutions are our partners.

We are looking for a higher education student to work as an intern in administrative tasks related to the Erasmus+ Programme for higher education and the unit’s other programmes promoting international cooperation between higher education institutions.

The intern will assist in:

• the administration of the Erasmus+ Programme and the other programmes in the unit and in compiling and analysing mobility statistics.
• compiling data and drawing up written reports on the activities and projects funded in the programmes • producing content for websites
• performing assisting tasks related to calls for tenders and proposals.

Required competence:
The candidate must have good proficiency in English, good IT skills, strong interaction and cooperation skills, and an ability to analyse information and produce text. Communication skills and especially competence in producing content for websites are an advantage in the position. Excel skills will also be useful.

Interest in international affairs (for example, own experience of exchange or traineeship abroad, voluntary work) is considered an advantage. In addition, we hope that the candidate has an independent and positive approach to work and passable Finnish skills.

Number of interns: 1
Dates and duration: 3 months, preferred dates 1 June-31 August 2019
Form of employment:
Full-time work. The job is full time, but it is possible to work flexible hours for example because of studies.

Pay:
EUR 1,300 per month.

Additional information related to pay or other funding:
Mention in your application whether your higher education institution will subsidise the internship. However, a subsidy is not a precondition for the internship. The internship must be included in the degree.

Helsinki

Candidates selected for an interview will be notified on week 10. Interviews will be organised in person or through Skype on week 11.
