It is with great pleasure that Hong Kong Polytechnic would like to call for applications from outstanding youth leaders in your university to participate in the “Global Youth Leaders Summit 2019: Transforming VISION into ACTION through SOCIAL INNOVATION”, organised by the Global Youth Leadership and Service-Learning Institute (GYLSLI) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 13 – 18 July 2019 in Hong Kong.
The Summit, which attracted over 120 youth leaders from 30 countries and regions in 2018, aims to provide a unique platform for youth leaders around the world to exchange experiences and ideas, and empower them to realise their vision for a better community.
In the Summit this year, participants will go through in a series of keynote lectures, workshops and training sessions, discussions, and site visits, where they will interact and collaborate with other youth leaders from around the world, and generate ideas and proposals to resolve current global and social challenges. Participants will present their proposals in a final presentation competition, and outstanding proposals will have the opportunity to showcase their ideas after the Summit.
Whom are we looking for?
- The applicant must have led or organised an existing, or a concluded, social project within the past two years, focusing on poverty alleviation, sustainable community, or quality education for all. The project can be local, regional, or international.
- The applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or fresh graduate (within two years of graduation) between the ages of 18 to 27 at the time of the Summit in July 2019.
