First post !

Hi everyone,

not the best way to start the blog, but my english is not that great, so please don’t be hard on me 😀

my name is Tam, a second year student from JAMK. I decided to challenge myself and spend 2016 spring semester in South-Korea, Ajou University. I will be gone 4-5months, late February till June.

South-Korea has captured my interest through music and fashion when I was 14 years old. Now Im also interested in Korean cuisine and electronics. To be honest, I don’t know much about Korean culture, so this will be perfect change to get to know more !

Never actually travelled alone so this will be exciting and at the same time bit frightening, on top of that, I’ve heard that Korean people don’t speak english very well so let’s see how I’ll survive there.

There’s still plenty of time before I leave Finland, but it’s better to be safe that sorry.

Here is list of things I already done:

Learning agreement

Ajou University’s online application

Start writing blog

JAMK’s Grant application

and to-do list:

Visa application (D-2)

The Social Insurance Institution of Finland (KELA) Grant application

Inform posti about my new adress in South-Korea

Get all the vaccinations

Im sure there’s alot more things to do, but I can’t remember them all right now.

I’m drowning in homeworks and reports right now, so I think that’s enough for this time. 🙂

Kind regards,
