October’s storm (that’s a great song from The Reign Of Kindo btw)

The past month has been about computer melt downs (it has happened three times now), finnish visitors, going to see some gigs and making friends. So even though my hardrive died and I lost some of my thesis with it, I think the over all feeling of this month was very good. But I do not want to hear any ”good” advices on how you should always save your thesis in multiple locations. You don’t think I don’t know that? I cannot really explain why I stopped doing that when I got here.. I blame the cheese. But the good thing is I was able to make up some of the work I lost last weekend, so I’m almost done with it! Hallelujah!

So my sister and my brother in law came to visit me a few weeks ago and during the autumn vacation my brother was here. We did some travelling inside the Netherlands and also went to see Cologne. Thanks for coming! It was great to have you.

With Vesa we saw the Dom in Cologne. It was pretty amazing…

We also went to Haarlem to see the Corrie Ten Boom museum. It was quite moving. That one I would recommend to anyone visiting Holland. If you don’t know the story, watch the movie! You can see it from youtube. To me that’s a movie I cannot watch without tears from the beginning to the end.

There is no greater way to end October than to go see Snarky Puppy live! We did that with some guys from Artez last thursday. What a sweet band!

The things I really enjoy right now are the weekly jam sessions and lunch concerts on wednesdays. Live music is the best!
