Ich gehe doch nach hause…

Spending most of my time with germans in case you were wondering…

Christmas is almost there. Which means the time has come for me to say goodbye to Arnhem.

For some reason the past month felt really long. Don’t get me wrong, there were many really nice moments there. But I guess for some ridiculous reason I really miss the cold and dark Finland. Before I came here I couldn’t even imagine that I could actually miss it so much. Well, not really the cold and dark part.. But you know what I mean.

This time here has been a unique experience that I’m really glad I’ve had a chance to have. A year ago I had no idea where I would be now and who I would spend my time with. That’s a really cool thing to think about. You never know what happens around the next corner. That’s both exciting and scary but also makes life interesting.

This was taken at a blues jam session in Germany. Had never heard anyone play blues with a tuba before..

Anyway…

I’m so ready to graduate. You’re never finished with music that’s for sure but I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life.

I’m going to end this by quoting a friend who so elegantly put it:

Travelling is great and being exposed to different things… but just as important or maybe even more important is to have a home to return to…
