There are nice old buildings and all different kinds of shops, restaurants and cafes around the village.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/3-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-146336\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/3-1-720x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/4-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-146337\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/4-1-960x720.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>We participated in the \u201cmeeting\u201d at 12.30 by Johan K. Dal, who spoke about \u201cThe Global Food System\u201d in the Assembly hall. It was interesting to get the opportunity to know more information about this movement and discuss about different cultures in all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>Slow food is an international eco- gastronomic, member- supported and non- profit organization, which has the aim to promote local sustainable food.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/5-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-146349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/5-2-720x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I think we are in the process to learning how to work together with these people and try to respect the environment and promote the local food. It is important to know different cultures and try to help them with our better knowledge of and control over what we eat and how it is produced.<\/p>\n<p>You can feel more realized when you are collaborating with the nature and helping local producers, and why not, it could be a form of feeling like home.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/6-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-146339\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoori.fi\/\/data\/wordpress\/htdocs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/6-1-720x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"960\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><u>BACKERS BAKERY<\/u><\/p>\n<p>During our visit we got to know Backers Bakery.\u00a0\u00a0 We met Anders Lindholm who works at the bakery.<\/p>\n<p>He told us something about this company which is owned by Olle and Diana Lindholm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBackers Baker is a family owned caf\u00e9 and bakery close to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fiskarsvillage.fi\/en\/home\">Fiskars Village<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitraseborg.com\/en\/\">Raseborg<\/a>. We specialize in organic, handmade bread and pastries. Our caf\u00e9 serves organic coffee, fresh bread, buns and filled sandwiches directly from the bakery which is in the same building.<\/p>\n<p>In the caf\u00e9 we also sell fresh products to take home and if you need larger quantities, you can order in advance. If you don\u2019t have the opportunity to visit our bakery shop, you will find our products in many grocery stores in Finland. You can contact us for more information.<\/p>\n<p>Backers is not only a bakery, but also a farm which has been owned by the same family since the 17th century. The present owners, Olle and Diana still grow organic wheat which is used in the archipelago bread, which has been rewarded for its delicious taste.
