Dear International Student/Graduate, greetings from the JAMK Talent Boost!
Talent Boost is a new project that is aimed at improving the opportunities of JAMK’s international students in finding internship or employment in Central Finland. We are hoping to improve the awareness of International Students about the job market and provide extensive information on recruitment, improve Finnish language learning possibilities AMK and strengthen collaboration with businesses and organizations of Central Finland to rise the number of JAMK graduates that get employed in Central Region.

International Students and Alumni Survey
Below, you will find the link to our survey attached. The survey is conducted for all international students and alumni from all JAMK Degree Programmes. The survey is anonymous and is aimed at learning the needs and struggles of international students and graduates so we can provide our support. We would like to carry out Talent Boost’s goals by taking into consideration the feedback of the students and alumni.
Please, take a couple of minutes to complete the survey and help your university to provide foreign students with better services. Also, if you participate in the survey, it is possible to win Finnkino movie tickets. –
The deadline to complete the survey is 18th of November. (The main survey is anonymous, the ticket lottery survey would be automatically opened after the main survey is completed; contact information from the tickets lottery survey will not be connected to the main survey)

Expertise Centre for Immigrants in Jyväskylä:
This organization promotes employment of foreign residents in Finland and the recognition of the skills of international talent. The Expertise Centre for Immigrants supports foreign-language customers to improve their Finnish in Finnish language trainings, get to know more about the basic job seeking and support them to find their own expertise to promote employment through individual guidance and counselling. You can become a client for this organization if:
- You’re an unemployed job seeker.
- You’re under threat of unemployment, for example graduating in 6months
Expertise Center for Immigrants helps you to find a job, a place to study or start your own business.

Gloria
Gloria is multicultural centre in Jyväskylä that stands for equality, working against racism and prejudice by organizing events and discussions about multiculturalism aiming to promote inclusion and integration. Many multicultural different groups gather in Gloria. Among other activities Gloria is offering free Finnish ABC courses and reading sessions.
The Multicultural Center is also offering 40 positions of volunteering and internships per year.

Karelia University of Applied Sciences is offering a course for the immigrants 30 credits worth from 10.01.2022-30.06.2022.
KAVA – preparatory studies for highly educated experts for expert positions
The aims of education are:
- increase connections to working life
- increase professional network
- strengthen career skills
- strengthen Finnish language skills
- the applicant`s Finnish language skills should be B1
Next education is starting on January 2022.
