Practical Training 1 at Levin Alppitalot

I completed my first practical training during my second-year studies in the beginning of 2022 at Levin Alppitalot in Levi. Levin Alppitalot is an apartment hotel in the center of Levi with up to 54 apartments of different sizes. I worked in the sales office with three other employees as the company doesn’t have a reception. In the office I worked Monday to Friday from 9 to 17 and got to do different work tasks. My daily basis was handling the email and phone and answering to customers via those. I also responded to requests for quotations regarding accommodations, sent check-in information to customers and handled the feedback that we received. I also got to help with our marketing with taking pictures for our social media channels.

All the work tasks and the reservation system were quite easy to learn as I got a lot of help from other employees so that really improved my work experience as a whole. After this practical training experience, I would really consider myself working in an office in the accommodation industry in the future.
