Practical training 2 at Scarpa Barolo Luxury Escape Monvigliero Villas, Italy
Hello all/Ciao a tutti!
I’m here to share my experience of practical training position at Scarpa Barolo Luxury Escape Monvigliero Villas. It is a resort located in the heart of wine production region in Italy, Piedmont. I have spent here three incredible months from September to November as a Property Manager’s Assistant.
And here are some main points why it is a brilliant practical training position:
First of all, well, it is Italy! The only cultural shock that I have experienced is enjoying delicious food & wine and working with breath-taking view on your side. No doubt, it is just as movies and books describe it. So, come and try it!
Second, you will be offered as many different tasks as you ask for: such as event planning and managing, bar tender, inventory, housekeeping, research tasks and more. Personally, I have enjoyed the most designing business stationary, OTAs research and assisting in launching a new website.
Finally, you will be warmly welcomed to the Scarpa staff (I’d rather say family). The working culture at Monvigliero is built upon sharing & caring, and you will enjoy everyday lunches with other employees, get-together events and occasional gelato tasting in neighbour towns.
All in all, it is a great position offered for a third-year students, where you will be able to accomplish the tasks that suits your professional skills and wishes. If you are looking for new experiences and learning possibilities, you should definitely apply for it!
