Nukula LC, Oravansaari Finland (Practical Training 2)

Dear reader, I am Ida, a fourth-year Tourism Management student and about to share my experience as a Marketing Assistant at Nukula LC. 

What is Nukula? Nukula is Green Key-certified tourism and well-being service provider which is located in Oravansaari in the munipalicity of Toivakka by lake Päijänne. They offer different and authentic Finnish sauna experiences, corporate meeting and private event services, accomodation, local food and nature experiences all year around. 

My tasks? I was responsible of social media marketing on Instagram and Facebook which required creating a marketing plan and content for both channels. 

What did you learn? What this work experience provided me was a deeper understanding of social media marketing and the digital tools to utilize in the process. Moreover, it taught me about sustainable business operations and what sustainability practically requires. 

I had the pleasure of experiencing the services first hand and after this experience I began to consider a career related to marketing and sustainability therefore it is easy to state working at Nukulan provided me a new perspective and a career option to consider.
