Practical training 2 at Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti in Helsinki

In the past four months I’ve completed both of my practical trainings at Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti. Presidentti is a big hotel in the heart of Helsinki, right next to shopping center Kamppi. Presidentti offers accommodation in 476 hotel rooms, and conference services in 15 conference rooms. The hotel was completely renovated in the past few years, and the renovation was completed in 2019.

In Presidentti, I mostly worked in the reception, but also did some shifts in the conference department. During this second practical training I also had some management duties and worked alongside our hotel manager. My main task was to serve customers face to face, as well as by phone and email. In a hotel as big and busy as Presidentti, you never have boring days.

At the end of my practical training I got offered a job at Presidentti, so my career in Presidentti continues. If you want to do your practical training in Helsinki, I can genuinely recommend Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti!
