During this summer, I was working as a receptionist at the Pribaltiyskaya Hotel. Also, you can know this hotel as a park inn group hotels. That was an incredible experience. That was my first experience to work in a hotel business. I was very happy and a little bit shocked when I got a letter that I accepted. For me, it was interesting to see how the hotel managed to build its reputation, maintain it over the years and raise brand awareness to new customers and creative range of promotional activities and events. This hotel has four stars. From the street, that hotel looks a little bit old but inside it looks like a really good four stars hotel.
The working environment is bright, clean and professional. Every staff is dedicated, focused and always puts customers first. The strategy of this hotel is “Yes I can”. And that phrase motivates really good. Working in the reception means that you should be ready to help customers at any time of the day. To my mind, work with the customers is the hardest task in the hotel. This summer practical training has taught me to have creativity, adaptability and valuable skills not just professionally but personally. There are many open doors when it comes to hotel management and professional advancement in this field of work. Overall, this practical training was really informative, gave me many good skills for working in such companies, also, give me lots of new communications and opportunities to work abroad next summer.
