Exporting relaxing moments and wellbeing all over the order as an intern at Harvia Finland Oy by Teodora Barb-Dudan

For the past 6 months I’ve worked full-time as an export sales coordinator for Harvia at the headquarters from Muurame, Finland. For those of you who don’t know, Harvia is a Finnish company that manufactures heaters, saunas, spas and sauna interiors. Moreover, our company’s range of products includes all three sauna types: traditional sauna, steam sauna and infrared sauna.

My job included working daily tightly with all the other departments within the company and also with our clients from abroad, which helped me understand even more how big companies operate. At Harvia I got the chance to do a lot of versatile tasks every single day: communicating with our foreign customers, handling new orders, invoicing, making purchase orders, coordinating international shipments, handling export documentation, updating essential information on the internal ERP system. Besides the work environment has also been enjoyable and welcoming.

During the studies I’ve gained a lot of knowledge, but the internship has been the period where I got the change to put into practice all the things that I’ve studied. I’m grateful that I’ve got the chance to work for such a big and international company.
