Booking meetings and acquiring customers for Koti Puhtaaksi Oy

Hello everyone! My name is Lasse Leppiniemi, and I did my practical training during the summer of 2021 for a cleaning service company called Koti Puhtaaksi Oy. My job was to acquire new customers and assist in sales. I found out about this company through a friend of mine who already worked there. While listening to all the good stories about the company and her work there I decided to apply for a practical training position. After an online interview I got invited to the office for work display where I proved my potential. About a week later I got a message that I got the job!

Koti Puhtaaksi Oy provides services in Tampere area, Helsinki area, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Turku. The office I was working at is located in Tampere. In 2019 the company was awarded as the greatest place to work in Finland and Europe’s best place to work in cleaning sector. These awards are not given to just anybody, and for me the working environment plays a crucial role when looking for a job. Every Monday we started the week with a meeting where we shared our feelings, thoughts, and goals for the week. The way that the management of this company work you can tell that they are genuinely interested in the well-being of their employees.

My practical training consisted of contacting the potential customers that our marketing team had assembled to us. While calling the marketing leads, I assisted the sales team by booking appointments with customers to tailor the cleaning service to their home. Sometimes we had friendly competitions or goals that we had to reach with bookings that included prizes. That kept the motivation high and helped us to make good results.

Overall, my experience at Koti Puhtaaksi Oy was very pleasant. After the practical training I have maintained the relationship with my supervisor and some coworkers. Hopefully, I am able to work in this company again in the future, possibly in the marketing team since marketing is my specialization.
