Internship at a company in the tourism and restaurent industry

Hello everyone, my name is Nguyen Dang Truong, a third year bachelor student majoring in International Business at JAMK. I did my 6 months internship at a liability company based in Vietnam- Da Lat View.

I did an internship from April 1, 2022 until September 30, 2022. Da Lat view is a relatively new company, has only been in operation for more than 4 years but has already left a lot of impressions. for tourists in Da Lat. And the company gave me the opportunity to work under two responsibilities in human resource management and marketing. Although this company is not a big company, the exposure to all kinds of customers makes me quite overwhelmed. I had a very interesting internship at a company in the restaurant and tourism industry. During the internship, I learned a lot of new knowledge and had the opportunity to practice in a real environment.

The first thing I want to say about this company is the professionalism and seriousness in personnel management and training. The company has clear procedures and policies to guide employees and interns in the working process. I was thoroughly guided about the company’s working process, from customer management to the process of performing food services, travel experiences.

During my work at the company, I also experienced many different jobs and responsibilities of an employee. I was assigned to manage staff, inventory and customer contact and implement marketing strategies. This has helped me develop management skills and work organization, as well as learn a lot of marketing experience.

However, during my internship, I also faced some challenges and difficulties such as facing thousands of clients and finding a way to fit every situation. Sometimes I feel pressured because I have to complete a lot of work in a short time while still ensuring the quality of service. However, I feel it’s part of the learning and growing process.

In conclusion, the internship at this restaurant and travel company has brought me a lot of valuable experiences and experiences. I learned many new skills and developed my existing skills. I would like to sincerely thank my colleagues and superiors for their guidance and support during my internship. I will definitely use the experience and skills I have learned, upgrade it and apply it to my future work.
