Pathway experience, as a tutor!
Edunation Oy is a company that supports students from all over the world to reach their dreams and professional ambitions in studying abroad. The company helps international students to gain access to the Finnish education system through the Pathway to Finland program.
Hello, I am Trixy and my internship at Edunation was an awesome experience for me. Working with the team gives a good opportunity to do the hybrid type of work setup, on-site and online. The company has a multicultural team at its office in Tampere, Finland, and from its virtual office. They have many team members working remotely from all around the world. I was working as the Pathway Tutor for their Spring 2023 Pathway intake with over 280 students enrolled in the program. The job gave me chances to get exposure in the office, on campus with the students, and remotely working with the other team members from various countries. This photo was our team in Tampere!
The main responsibility during the internship was tutoring and assisting the students regarding their concerns during their studies and starting their lives here in Finland, however, there were a lot of other opportunities for learning other tasks related to administrative duties, online marketing, event organizing, and customer service. I have been closely working with the pathway team and the teachers in the program as we deal with student-related issues and provide smooth service to the clientele.
The experience in Edunation was indeed remarkable. The trust they give to the intern was very significant, they provided full access to the company’s resources and gives a complete chance to manage own time and schedule. The flexible work environment taught me to be responsible in handling my tasks independently and organizing my activities with the students and colleagues.
This was one of our online events during the orientation week where I hosted a zoom gathering with over 250 participants. Overall, the time spent in Edunation was outstanding as they indeed offer an excellent opportunity for professional growth to their interns.
