Practical training in QAutomate Oy by Maiju Tuominen

In autumn 2019 I participated in a business event called Stream in Tampere. Little did I know I would meet there my future practical training employer. The company that hired me was QAutomate Oy – a small startup company that offers solutions for RPA and software automation. We discussed what kind of tasks they would have for me in marketing and I was immediately excited. Couple of days later I went to their office to sign a contract of employment and I was ready to start working.

I worked at QAutomate around 10 months. In that time, I managed to gather a range of new skills in marketing. My main tasks were website and webshop building, making marketing videos & user manuals, translating Finnish material into English, writing blog posts etc. I also learned skills outside my own field, such as coding.

Due to the Covid-19 situation I worked most of the time remotely, but everything worked smoothly the whole time due to good communication systems. I am happy with my practical training period. The skills I learned are valuable for my future career.
